As our Training & Development Division expands, we are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to design and develop high-quality learning content and digital courses that enhance participant engagement and knowledge retention.

Role Overview

The Instructional Designer will work closely with the Head of Training to design, develop, and evaluate interactive learning materials for both in-person and virtual delivery.

You will transform technical content into engaging, learner-friendly experiences across formats such as instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), e-learning modules, and blended learning programmes.

This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in instructional design, adult learning, or educational content development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engaging, structured course content and facilitator guides.
  • Create interactive digital learning experiences using e-learning tools and multimedia.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to transform complex information into digestible, outcome-based modules.
  • Develop assessments, case studies, and learning activities aligned with training goals.
  • Support curriculum design for both corporate clients and internal capacity-building programmes.
  • Maintain consistency in tone, structure, and branding across all training materials.
  • Contribute to accreditation and certification processes by ensuring compliance with training standards.
  • Support the setup and management of Hydeas’ Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Evaluate and update course materials based on participant feedback and performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Minimum BSc/HND in Education, Instructional Design, Communication, or related field.
  • 2–4 years’ experience in instructional design or learning content development.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional methodologies.
  • Proficiency with e-learning tools (e.g. Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or Canva for Education).
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and blended learning models.
  • Excellent writing and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Creativity, innovation, and attention to detail are essential.
