We are now seeking an experienced and energetic Business Development Manager to lead our client acquisition efforts, build strategic partnerships, and expand Hydeas’ footprint across Nigeria’s growing business ecosystem.
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and closing deals across Hydeas’ service divisions.
You will work directly with the CEO and departmental heads to develop and execute a growth strategy that positions Hydeas as the go-to partner for digital transformation and capacity development in Nigeria.
This is a performance-driven role with high visibility and long-term growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients and retain existing ones.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality business proposals, pitches, and presentations.
- Lead prospecting efforts via LinkedIn, referrals, events, and direct outreach.
- Manage client negotiations and close deals across IT, web, and training divisions.
- Collaborate with the Projects and Training teams to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
- Analyse market trends to recommend new services or market entry strategies.
- Maintain a structured CRM pipeline and produce weekly activity and revenue reports.
- Represent Hydeas at business forums, industry events, and conferences.
Requirements
- BSc/HND in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA an advantage).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ proven experience in business development, sales, or client relations.
- Strong proposal writing and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Excellent networking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of digital marketing, IT, or training services is highly desirable.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with CRM systems, MS Office, and digital tools.
- Self-motivated, persuasive, and highly organised with strong commercial awareness.
