As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts / Finance Assistant to join our growing Finance Department and support the company’s financial operations.
Role Overview
The Accounts / Finance Assistant will work closely with the Finance Manager to manage day-to-day accounting functions, prepare financial reports, and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
This role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and a strong sense of responsibility. You will play a key role in maintaining transparent and efficient financial management across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions (income, expenses, petty cash).
- Assist in preparing and issuing invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
- Support monthly bank reconciliations and account summaries.
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents and records.
- Assist in payroll preparation and ensure timely disbursement of staff salaries.
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for management.
- Support procurement and vendor payments in line with internal policies.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and external accountants when required.
- Monitor office budgets, expenses, and financial KPIs.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold company financial policies.
Requirements
- Minimum OND/HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–3 years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, or Zoho Books).
- Basic knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations (PAYE, VAT, WHT).
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong integrity, reliability, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
