As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts / Finance Assistant to join our growing Finance Department and support the company’s financial operations.

Role Overview

The Accounts / Finance Assistant will work closely with the Finance Manager to manage day-to-day accounting functions, prepare financial reports, and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.

This role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and a strong sense of responsibility. You will play a key role in maintaining transparent and efficient financial management across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions (income, expenses, petty cash).
  • Assist in preparing and issuing invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
  • Support monthly bank reconciliations and account summaries.
  • Maintain proper filing of financial documents and records.
  • Assist in payroll preparation and ensure timely disbursement of staff salaries.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for management.
  • Support procurement and vendor payments in line with internal policies.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and external accountants when required.
  • Monitor office budgets, expenses, and financial KPIs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold company financial policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum OND/HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, or Zoho Books).
  • Basic knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations (PAYE, VAT, WHT).
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong integrity, reliability, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
