As we expand our services to support more SMEs and corporate clients in Lagos, we are seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to provide reliable, professional, and timely technical support.

Role Overview

The IT Support Engineer will provide both on-site and remote technical support to Hydeas clients, ensuring that hardware, software, and network systems are maintained efficiently.

This is a client-facing role that requires strong problem-solving ability, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

The position begins as a retainer or contract role, with potential to transition to a full-time position as the client base grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote IT support to clients (hardware, software, and network troubleshooting).
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, networks, and applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly to minimise downtime.
  • Support email, cloud, and data backup solutions (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.).
  • Assist clients in cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and preventive recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the Hydeas web and digital teams to support hosted solutions and client websites.
  • Liaise with external vendors or ISPs when required.
  • Provide user training and create quick guides for non-technical staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in IT support or systems administration.
  • Excellent understanding of Windows, networking, and basic cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience supporting clients in an SME or agency environment preferred.
  • Relevant certification (e.g. CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or ITIL Foundation) is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work independently with professionalism and strong client service skills.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills.
